Dec. 5, 2004, Mt. Baker, East bondary and Hemi's

ZPSL Gang had a delightful day at Mt. Baker Resort. We skinned up the East boundry of the area mostly under chair 8. We had planned on skiing the Shuksan Arm but decided against it once we realized that it would be pretty audacious for the first turns of the year. (but it was tempting to me...)<br><br>So, then we continued South above the last chair to the back side of Hemi's. The snow was super. Hard to measure how much fresh but it seemed 10 inches deep of creamy West Coast Pow. I loved it.<br><br>Note: skiing up inside the boundary wasn't all that fun in the sections where vis was poor. A few patrolers and others stopped to say hello and chat. They didn't turn us around so I guess it was legal enough. Still, I'd probably advise against it.<br><br>
