Saturday, Gordy and I drove up the North Cascades hwy to see if we could get Back into Black.  We skinned from the car up to Heather Pass where the wind started up abruptly, and the chance of any clearing looked dismal.
There were about 2 dozen skiers and boards up there, most from the Methow, so the skinning wasn't too bad with a fat track to follow up.  At least we knew we were in the right spot.
To quote Gordy, there was "An honest foot of new" up there.   The crust underneath seemed a little broken up and not that thick(worrisome for rocks), but the powder seemed to be providing plenty buffer.  It was definitely thinner in the trees.  We did 3 laps below Heather Pass down to the lake finding some steep glades between other folks tracks for some face shots.

All day, we had snow falling that quickly melted on contact with clothing and the wind only blew up at and above Heather Pass.  It almost seemed like it warmed a bit during the day, never really cleared any.

Suprisingly, the trail back to the car did not involve any ski damage.
Overall, a fun day to be outside even if we were just doing yo-yo's.  I can add one more day to a perfect streak of never having a bad snow day with Gordy.

Let it snow, let is snow, let it snow.
