Went out for a lil exploring on lil plug, cuz it's just a lil closer.

few inches of wet new snow at 2,500' quickly turned into serval inches of light enough snow. Most every path going up the valley had debris that barely had the enrgy to make it out of the steep pitches. Most looked like the point release variety.

our gulley of choice had slid recently, making booting pretty easy in ankle deep pow on soft avi debris. nearing around 6,000', we ran into a pocket of wind loaded snow releasing a small soft slab. then after gaining the ridge, we had very sun effected snow for the finally pitch to the top.

Great views everywhere as the sky opened up. ride down was a mix of conditions from great pow down to the apron, where the sun had been doing some work. then it just got a little sticky and heavy. Still fun to ride since it was soft.

It rained snow melt in the trees as the sun came out for the luge ride home.

9-4... few miles, few thousand feet.
Thanks for sharing another "closer" spot.
