Hiked up from the train head at 2,700ft. About 5,000ft. we put the skis on under a sunny sky. Upperslopes windblown powder with the rain crust beneath lower slopes oh so good fluffy pow. Big elevation gain from 2,700 to around 6,000 but it was worth it. We met up with a nice boarder and got a great shot of his dog Kenya...

Thanks for the photo of Kenya, and not mentioning I bonked at the ridge, while you pressed on to the summit. Excellent day... look forward to seeing you on the next trail..

Hey schmitz,
I think you actually did more elevation then you stated . I set my altimeter at the road at 2700, and had the ridge at 6200. My last spy of you and your dad, I would guess you were 6500.
