Allen, James and I started the day by playing it safe in the trees after hearing of the Thursday carnage up on Table. Turned out to be a good idea with no wind and super fun tree/mini pillows to ski.
Ended the day by heading to the upper lot to make a quick Herman lap. Lots of tracks and evidence of human triggered slides. South slopes were pretty sunbaked by this time (3:00 pm), but the east facing slopes back towards the car proved deep/stable/fun way to end the day.

What kind of carnage happened on table mtn Thursday?
Yes, I would be keen to hear what 'event' happened on Table on Thursday also? We were skiing the 'Slack Country' in the area on the same day, ie; Shuksan Arm and Hemi's and didn't notice any instability, and looking out into the Mazama Bowl everything looked to be holding well. I did however kick off a hefty 12-16" wind slab the following day(Friday) on the top of Mt Herman.
Skiing with DSLR and a tripod. That's one very dedicated photographer.
On thurs. a skier triggered a slide and went for a nice tummble. End result, broken femur.
