Day three of the current pow fest. Some quantity of new filling in many places, much frenzy activity for first tracks – relatively big line for the Gondy, definitely the biggest start lineup for CHex to start, but by the second time down REX the lines had pretty much disappeared everywhere. Did a couple of runs out in the N world…as nice as we would have expected, but after a couple of rides on that long chair we bounced back towards the faster REX and Gondy ski lines. After some re-warming runs we headed up to HC…saw some big boys jumping the big rock left of the chair – very impressive! Skied .8 (skier right of chair – very nice and run) and Rabbit Ears (first time this year??? For me??? Huh?), but the temps forced us back towards REX…so a run down towards K2 and the old chair 5 line and the new for me tree lines down low. Finished with lots of frontside REX lines from skier right of REX to Sunnyside and then finished with a very nice wimpy entry to E for a nice Gondy line run….everything was great, packed pow, pow left over pillows, think the groomer areas we cut across were good. 100k for the last three days (not up to Amar’s vert-o-meter, but big enough for my sort of old body). One more big day with the group tomorrow and then maybe a rest break. ddk

Got first chair then LA Trees then gate 1 at rope drop and got super nice first tracks run down Penny Dawgs. Then out to South Back which was off the charts. Two off the King and one down Silver Basin. Very cold on the hike, fingers freezing shouldering your skis. Southback had knee deep blower and face shots on every turn. Thank god I have to go to work tomorrow so I can rest for the weekend BC action.

Had a amazing day with a opening run on Goldhills followed by Goldhills left. The snow was SOOOOOO amazing that I did a Goldhills right followed by a Goldhills center. The Terrible tink really delivered with face shots every other turn. The Secret Stashes that were the highlight of the day were Queens, Downhill and Magoo.
