The last time I dawn patrolled Hyak, I ran into Anthony.  This was about 2 years ago.  Of course, Anthony and his dogs were right where I found him two years ago, getting ready to dawn patrol before work at Hyak, so he and I had a good time together once again.  Anthony is in better shape than me too - so he broke trail.  Also ran into another couple doing their first lap as we started our last.

While skinning Hyak this morning at 7am, I estimated pole penetration to the hard pack of about 60cm.  That's about 2 feet in less than 48 hours - amazing.  We did two lines in the woods and under the chair where it is the steepest.  You only needed to turn for fun and to swish snow up into your face.  Kudos to the bold folks who skied the Phantom today with all that new snow!

I'll try to download a photo from my i-Phone this evening.
