I cajoled Ryan to make the long drive up from Seattle with the promise of fresh tracks all day. We got it and more; sun, stable, stable conditions, companionship with the usual Baker suspects and a carpet of fantastic powder over the alpine. The backcountry tribe pauses briefly and then returns to the joy of skiing. RIP Monika....

And apparently it was a lot sunnier up there than expected based on the "FRIDAY...MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF SNOW SHOWERS" forecast.
