twas not the brightest of ideas. Beautiful day to be out in the mountains, and a good workout, but there isn't much snow there. No snow until 5000ft, patchy until above 6000ft, nice corn, but lots of rocks to hit under the foot or two of snow. We made it to 7200ft. Must have rained pretty hard here, there was avy debris low down in the basin, especially in the stream gullies.
The road is gated at the Eldorado lot. Caterpillars were hatching up in the warm sun in the Basin.
Suprisingly, we didn't see another soul ;)
