We found much better snow condition than we had expected. Once over the Snow Lake divide, the new snow made the tour very enjoyable. The snow was mostly stable except small wet patches on the warm side of the ridge to Gem Lake. The ridge to the Wright Mtn summit above Gem lake had nice dry powder without any crusts, and provided a short nice run down to the lake. We then joined the Chair loop group heading back on the lake. Over all very pleasant day.
