Spring conditions of boilerplate and corn. Followed ridge line between Clark Canyon and Newton up to the bulk head with the goal of skiing top of Clark down to lower Heather. Anything not angled perpendicular to the sun and facing South stayed firm ice. Extreme boiler plate above 6000 feet. Topped out 7500 feet, laid back and enjoyed the views. Basically just a nice spring day of sunshine, little or no wind, and great views. Skiied out the ridge to the North wall of Heather in great corn snow. Great to meet you Go-Twins thanks for the skin wax.

Anyone know what that rock is called or what kind of rock formation that is?

Nice report, that's a long hike up from the HRM lot, glad you found some corn snow for your ride down. Great pictures, always enjoy seeing photos from some of my favorite tours on weekends I can't get out.

GPS said: 4+ miles to get up there, 7.6 miles round trip, 3400 vertical feet. I am headed to Victor ID to tour the Tetons this Thursday. Just my luck the weather snapped and the temps are headed into the upper 20's with little or no new snow predicted. My local buddies will be complaining about heavy snow while I'll be whooping-it-up about how light it is. :) Hope the avi danger doesn't go up with the temp's.
