WA Cascades West Slopes South (Mt Rainier)

Warm with clouds and occasional rain showers. Firm snow lower down. Higher up soft top few inches with firm underneath -- skied much better than I expected. Took a run N off of Pt 6479 to the basin and a second one from the saddle. Party of nine mountaineers and WSTC members -- we also did a beacon search practice session around the flat area of the basin. Burgers and Black Butte Porter at the Naches.
