October 31, 2004, Green Mt.

Two inches at trail head (3,500 ft).   Hiked the trail through trees to 5,000 where the east edge of the open South Slope below peak 5,988 held 10 in of very fluid, dry, BB sized pellets.  The bowl past the small lake at 5,300 became more sugary.   The South slope below Green Mt was wind blown and scrapped to a hard shallow base at all raised areas and summit was fogged over so de-skinned at 6,000 ft.  Followed Jerry S. down a nice 20ft wide strip in a shallow furrow in the main slope but best runs were 2', light and dry from 5,500 to 5,000 NNE of where the steam sourcing from the lake turns South.
