Arrived early to get in some tours but the new chairs were not running so did the old school hike from behind pigtail pk.   snow conditions were really nice it was like spring in January with cool temps in the sun and sparkiling crystals of snow everywhere.
Dug a pit at 6800 ft el. facing almost due east.   A couple of soft inches over a two inch crust with softer compacting snow down for quite a ways.   Everything was very stable with the soft snow wind affected in places and the usual sluff off on the steeps.
They started the new chairs at noon so I got in a big lap again from the top down to Mirriam Lake.
It will be of interest to see how that crust works out in the comming days if it eventually bonds or not.
pray for snow
Thanks for the report. Was the crust breakable or supportive?

And where did you get the time machine? Very cool to be able to experience tomorrow's conditions today! [again wishing for the clown emoticon]

fixed the date, apologies, the crust was very hard and very supportive skiiing on it was just like having a groomer under the soft, it made for fun skiing especially in the sunshine.
