thought i'd post up a conditions report of what i found in case some of you didn't get to make it up for this storm.

skinned up hyak twilight time last night to find soft snow nearly the whole face. wind was really pounding through the trees at the top. might have found better conditions in the day as i descended with a headlamp and was limited.

slept in the subie overnight and woke up to snow above my 13" tires. thought it'd be a great blower day.
made it third chair up lower armstrong for a quick blast. found deepness but most of it was hardpack windblown pow unless in the trees. interesting thing was that it was 14 degrees down low and 30 up top?! wind blew hard all morning.

went back to hyak for another lap. similar conditions like alpental. last night was softer. now i'm in my office.
Thanks for reporting and getting after it.  I was considering a similiar expedition but when I woke at 6am to bare and wet roads I just couldn't pull the trigger.
