Another fantastic trip.  As always the hospitality and friendly skier cohort helped make it a great family getaway.  The snow improved over the three days with cooler temps and a few inches of fresh.  Perhaps the best was in the Powderpuff area directly above the lodge.  We skied out down the 8 mile or so road and it was fast and good to the bottom.  Coverage is a little lower than usual for New Years but perfectly adequate up top.  The clearcuts below the lodge are probably not in yet; I didn't see many tracks in them.  Year by year, the conditions vary but the terrain and setup is tops.  Second year for the deluxe new sauna and hot tub.  Two short movies at http://www.flickr.com/photos/koelle/
Hey!  I was up there, too, this weekend.  It was crusty in the trees, but at least not breakable.  We stumbled around without really finding the goods, but it was our first year there so I guess that's to be expected.  Another 4 inches would really freshen things up.

Great hospitality.  I'll definitely be back next year.
