Friday's weather report predicted 2-5" of fresh falling overnight over a 7" base. The fresh snow did not start falling until Saturday afternoon, so we made due with crust. Coverage was decent. We made it all the way back down to the parking lot on skis. Visibility was OK, but not great.

Around 7500 the crust became thin, breakable, and generally unpleasant so we decided to turn around. We found a few nice patches of wind deposited snow, but we primarily scraped our way down the crust. Oh well, the price you pay for early season turns. It was good to be out.
