Looking at the weather reports the previous day and that morning, we knew the conditions would be rough.  From Paradise to about Pebble Creek, we climbed through steady rain.  From Pebble Creek to about 8300 the rain changed to a driving, low visibility snow storm.  About 3-4" of fresh PNW crud on top of the old snow (with more coming as the snow level dropped as the day went on).

After planting a set of wands for visibility, we alternated between turns and low visibility slow motion falls every time we misjudged the fall line.  The humor of those falls made it all well worth the trip. Plus, what is the sense of spending all that money on fancy rain gear if you don't get out and use it?  Or perhaps I was just looking for an excuse to eat a post skiing Scale-Burger.
