First time in the stevens pass backcountry, skinned up the road on the parking lot on the other side of Stevens Ski area, skinned all the way and did the ridge, found a sweet mellow zone, everything was stable for the most part, some sluffing, but I dont know if Ive ever ridden this good PNW snow..

Nice work. Yes, it was great snow today. We(nomad, not me) broke trail up the road and never seen nor heard a soul all day. only a couple sets of ski tracks on our exit run down to the old highway.
I was across the way at Yodelin and the snow was equally as great and stable. Great day all around.
Looks awesome Jeri! We are expected to pick up 4 feet by Wed at Mt Hood Meadows....Busy week with the holiday and I am instructing every day..... Let's try to plan on a split trip next week!
