Forecast was for a snowy day with 1-3" accumulation, instead we got no precipitation and no wind skiing the sandwich between fog below 4000' and high overcast above 8000'. We found 6-20" old powder over a firm base with no wind or sun affect. Even the tree skiing felt pretty soft over the crunchy base. Amazing how long this great snow has lasted!
That exceeded expectations. Wow. Still early season cover with logs and holes and brush that needs more cover and such in some places, but still wow.
