WA Cascades West Slopes South (Mt Rainier)

Heavy winds overnight built up some wind slaps on W-NW-N aspects. Nothing major broke free but I tiptoed down the first few feet off the ridge. Stugie triggered a small slough slide that picked up snow as it ran, but was easily avoided. We found the south faces to be in prime shape for a rare treat.

Word. Friday around in Xtal's eastern BC the winds got pretty strong. Lots of windslab developing. By Sunday morning the winds had died down a bit and we didn't get more until after noon. Pretty good days out. Here's a few more pics:
