We were happy gleaners today, ear to ear grins as we harvested leftovers in the Muir cornfield. Calm winds for the start at 930 made for shorts weather, and 10mph breeze above Moon Rocks kept the snow crisp.

Quite a crowd of day trippers, summiteers, and even an eight year old girl scampering by everyone in the final 1000' before Muir. At Muir her dad produced her skis and boots and she, her 10yr old snowboarding brother, and her snowboarding dad joined us for the run to Pebble Creek.

Joe, Bryan, Carol, Paul, Gus, and about 20 others participated in the glisse fest.
I'll second that, an incredible day.

A little uncertain when looking up from Paradise, at the snow that started at ~7200', got sceptical carrying skies passed all the tourists especially with our 11am start.  But once we were up there, it was obvious how great a day it would be.
So great to meet all the Turns-all-year'ers, and I wish I had gotten to backcountry ski when I was 8.
