Seriously Jones-ing to get out for the first time this year, three of us headed up to Bullion Basin to check things out. Followed great trail/tracks along the summer trail. Encountered lots of happy folks and dogs along the way.
We wound up touring north along the ridge to point 6654, just south of the larger Northern Cement Basin ( I think). Skiied some really fun dry and light pow off that treed east rib. Super fun. Not enough daylight or leg muscle yet to get enough to satisfy our souls. ;) The sun even made an occasional appearance.
The west side of the ridge was rocky and wind scoured, as expected. The SW slope back down to Bullion Basin was heavier but still a blast, we occasionally busted through to the crusty layer below.
Lots of boarders attacking the steeper lines in the trees on the other side of bullion.
