We did the Muir thing yesterday too... as was posted here, a nice "Late Harvest"

We skinned the whole way from the snowline at 7300 ft. No need to carry them!

Leftovers were fine Sept 6 also. Silky corn first 1000', much better snow than August the next 1500'. Blue sky, no wind, tough day to beat at Muir.
