August 29, 2004, Three Fingers

We got a good early start and drove up the Goat Flats Trail head, foggy and wet. Once above goat flats at about 5,300 ft. we broke out of the clouds to a clear beautiful veiw of the surrounding skyskraper mountains, (rainier looked like there was some new snow) <br><br>The summit was everything you could of hoped for. sharing the blue skys with the massive peaks; soft smooth clouds below, and the top of three fingers and white horse displaying their prominent beauty.<br><br> <br><br><br>[Note: I moved this out of the August TR board because there didn't seem to be skiing or snow info in it. -Charles]
