Good day of skiing, with core shots.
West side was boney with 12-18 inches of unconsolidated fresh on ground.
East side skied well, 50 feet from the summit of east peak, 18 inches of very light unconsolidated on 8 inches of very firm, hard base. Upper layer was not cohesive and appeared fairly well bonded to the lower layer. Avy danger appeared low where we were. Bonding to ground was not great, ground was grass, however substantial bridging alleviated worry of slide to ground. Ski down to the parking lot was hard on the p-tex.
Overall nice winter day in the hills.
I bet that the Eastern slopes held some nice pockets.

The west side not so much.

Thanks for the beta I may have to head that way this week.
