No.

After hiking 5000 ft through ice, slop and wet pumice mud, you are likely to find moving slush below 10000 ft. However, if you were able to get up there before the sun comes out, you might have a two or three hour window of heavenly soft, velvety powder. In August!! Think about it!!

Better leave now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.. oh, yeah -- don't forget to post a TR. ;D

Think the skiing or boarding will be anygood once the comes back out?

...it will also go from slop to corn!

There is hope for September, then!! The first couple of melt-freeze cycles will produce crust. Then it will progress to a sheet of boilerplate. Given a few days with temps above 35 degrees at 9000', we could well have a corn fest worth trudging for in a few weeks. The chances of sufficient melt-freeze cycles in September may be low, however. Best to pray for rain to rebuild the snowpack for next spring.

Discovery of the year -- spring starts well before April!
