Helios was out and the snow powder to wind crust, which all changed the very next day, as it does, so it was good when it was good.

You have some great pics of one of my favorite areas, including those surprising ptarmigan.
I didn't know about the rock shelter you photographed. It looks like it is somewhere along the divide on the north side of Thunder Gl basin. Is it east or west of a direct route up from the hogsback trail?

that rock wall is pretty much where you said, along the divide on the north side of Thunder Gl basin, just east of the 7242 high point
