So the turns for my 12th-consecutive month of backcountry skiing were rather anticlimactic...~150 vertical feet on the remains of the Slush Cup slope. But it was still a fun 30 seconds worth of sun-cupped turns ;D Overcast skies kept the snow a bit more icy than slushy. The chossy down-climb (~80+ vert. ft) from the saddle above the snowfield was surely the highlight ;) My trip partner had opted to forego the skis for this outing, and had a pleasant descent of the short snowfield using the "tennis shoe" ski technique ;)
