Chinook/Cayuse Passes closed

Looks like the DOT and NPS are closing Chinook and Cayuse passes as of today at noon:

I noticed the reader board was up tonight by Pete's Pool in Enumclaw. That is usually a sign that an opening is soon.
Although if it opens on the 8th I doubt the skiing will be too safe with the high temps.

Looks like the significant snowfall on Sun/Mon shut down Chinook and Cayuse Passes for the season.

Usually the opening of Crystal is really close after the closing of the pass, but Crystal has a way to go before they have a skiable base. Hint Hint weather Gods.

I know what you mean, I was hoping to have Chinook for easy access turns up until the coverage was sufficient at Crystal. The differences in snowfall amounts between Chinook Pass and Green Valley are pretty huge, at least based on my armchair telemetry reading.
