One of those you never know till you go days. We had small hopes of leaving the parking lot today, but the conditions turned out to be better than expected. Coverage is thin down low but has consolidated since mid-week making for much more ski base friendly turns. Pan point to pebble creek has lost much of its snow near the ridge line summer trail. A slightly western alternate route was found to have plenty of coverage to do the job. The snowfield was wind buffed with the wind howling (pushing 60 mph at Muir) but the sun was out and strange warmth was in the wind. Manageable, sometimes even fun turns top to bottom.
FYI: Went to Snow lake on Sat. and found 16" or so in the basin.
