Today Keith Rollins, Paul Marqaurt, Joe Keith, Martin Rand and I arrived in bright sunshine in the early afternoon at Chinook Pass. We headed south on the PCT on a very fine skin track to the NE slope of Naches.

Snow was soft and deep, over a foot of light powder on a base. Coverage was excellent.

Wind was stiff on the ridge and the temps were in the low 30's.

I only took 2 runs from the ridge while the young guys took 3. By the final run the sun was gone and it was snowing heavily.

Hi Keith!  Early season is in full swing.

Cool. I think that we'll go check that out tomorrow. In the last photo it looks very much like you are skiing uphill!

My wife and I were the ones just headed in for a quick lap as you guys were getting back to the road. You guys certainly had great weather, by the time we were in the bowl visability got pretty poor. It was great to get a quick lap in :)

JDHALL IN THE HOUSE!!!!
