"Ski Touring Methow Valley" book? was created by SeaTacExpat
When reading the older Bergdorfer book, I found several references to descents in the Chelan area and Pasayten being described in a different book, "Ski Touring Methow Valley".
Checking the interwebs has failed to dig up this book (or variations on the name) - does anyone know anything more about it?

I think you are referring to "Ski Touring Methow Style" by Sally Portman, first published in 1985. Here's a link on Amazon
www.amazon.com/Touring-Methow-Style-Sally-Portman/dp/0936289023
The book is mostly aimed at nordic or very light backcountry skiing (e.g. NNN-BC type bindings or three pins with leather boots, etc) although there are some tours at the end that are routinely done on on fatter skis and modern touring gear today.

Sally Portman of the Sally Portman's Birthday Tour at WA pass. What's the story again?? I remember something being posted about the tour being named after her.
