Just curious to get some input from those who are using rockered planks in the BC. Any noticeable differences with skinning for better or for worse?

If only rockered in the tip= can help with trail breaking. No real reduction in skin adherence.
If rockered tips and tails= S7's, skin contact reduced and can get in the way during steep kick turns.( I like to dig my tail in when on a steep kick turn.)
That's why I like my Drifters for Bc touring.( nearly flat tail)

I shared a chair with a Stevens patroller who actually cut the tails off his S7's to make them flatter and more BC friendly. He seemed to really enjoy them and said that they were still fun, held skins and created anchors better than the original.

Great information; confirmed my suspicions of rockered tails.

I made the change last year (during the early season) from a traditional tip x cambered x twin tip to the newer version of the same make/model to "deep" rockered tip x cambered x directional (traditional) tail. Noticeable difference for me on breaking trail, better float for the deep snow, handle debris better, and was amazed how the skis carved better on hard packed. The wildest thing for me though was how the new 192cm rockerd boards skied shorter than the traditional 186 prior model.
