Headed down with TNT and gang.
Kind of a later start for me, but we left the TH @ 10 under blue skies. Tons of low clouds of fog on the way up, especially on Stevens Canyon road.
Left the sneakers @ home so I started hiking the pavement in the Denali TT's. Made it to Pebble Creek and skinned up from there. Made a decision @ 12:30 / 8500' to turn around since I had to be home by 5 to relieve the babysitter. Got 1k or great corn in, skiers left was really nice.
Met TNT and the guys at Pebble Creek as they were headed over to the Paradise Glacier. Brought my DSLR and snapped some wildlife photos on the way down and then descended in to the rising cloud layer above Pan Point.
Not many people on the trail, but I did count 18 people that asked me:
"Is there a ski lift up there?"
"Did you really go skiing?"
"Where is the snow at?"
"That sure seems like a lot of work!"
"Are we close yet?" <Close to what?>
"Are those skis?"
Wilson Glacier turns are obvious in this photo
