As I Paged through my backcountry book, Not wanting to travel far my eye caught Rock Mountain, as it did many times skiing at stevens pass. The trail head starts right from the highway, it is a very steep avalanche slope with no forest, but none the less beautiful, i'd often find myself stopping to look at the plentiful wild flowers the trail had to offer. as we topped out onto Nason ridge there were too distinct bowls with many extrodinary ski opitions below me, but now, instead of snow they was just scree and heather benches. As I put one foot infront of the other i reached the summit just under 7,000 ft. At the top there was very fun glasading to be had As I looked around I thought how this place would rule pre-season. You wouldn't need much snow, and there's a lot of vertical. I will definatly do it early season for a ski.
I could be wrong but this might be Rock Moutain in winter. The pic was taken at seventh heaven stevens pass
I checked, and that is it^
