Lisa and I decided to make quick work of Colchuck. Quick work is a relative term. A 10.5 hour day up and down is a time to brag about at our volunteer jobs with our grandparents. However in an attempt to save weight we left both our walkers and or skis/ropes back in Seattle for a a lightweight push up up the chicken which is my new term for colchuck based on its similarity in wording to the polish word for chicken which is corchuck (sp?). Take this as you will. Skiing is still possible on the glacier which is growing hard snow but no ice yet. Check out the pics and choose as it is your god given right. Happy adventures my fellow humans. Don't forget to have fun.

thanks! I was curious what it was like at the lake. Was considering hiking up there this week.

kinda funny, but I was looking at your pics, and I thought, "hey, that looks like Lisa!"... Maybe I should learn to read.

Scott, there were faint ski tracks from some hearty soul that made the jaunt. Oh and happy belated birthday!
