My buddies and I decided to head down to Baker ski resort area for some August turns.  We left Vancouver around 8am in some soggy conditions and arrived around 10:30, to find it just as cloudy and rainy.  Artist Point is now fully ploughed, and wow is there ever quite the snow base!!
We played around right below Table for a couple hours and then decided it was time to play in the water, so two of my friends drove the car down while Kyle and I decided to see if we could ski down to the small lake.  We skied directly towards Heather Meadows until we ran out of snow, which brought us onto a bit of a cliff.  Luckily, we reached the bottom of the clouds so we could see that there was a nice chute about 100 m over.  So after a bit of interesting scrambling in ski boots, we made it onto the chute for a lovely ski down.
Unfortunately the slope beside the pond lost most of its snow, so we couldn't get the speed that I had a month prior, but it was still awesome fun!!... even if I didn't quite make it this time Wink

Although the weather wasn't all that great, a ski day in practically any condition is still better than almost any other day Smiley
