We went up to Bachelor to get the early jump on August turns. A beautiful day with soft snow.
We skied the Cirque Bowl from near the summit to get some of the legendary Bachelor steep shots.

Dan strung together some patches to get an additional ~200 vft of skiing

A quick dip in Cascade Creek afterwards to wash the dust off was a treat to end the day.
Nice - I wish I'd called Dan - it would have been good to hookup with you guys.  We skied Diamond yesterday and it was great.  I'll post a TR tonight if I get some time.....

How much walking did you do to get to the white stuff?

From the parking lot we headed pretty directly to the summit. It took 2 hours to reach the summit where we put skis on. I think it's about 3,000 vertical from the lot to the summit.
The main snow fields extended to just above the Pine Marten lodge, so the total continuous snow was around 1,500 I think.

I was in Bend that weekend, my husband was running the Cascade Lakes Relay.

I should have brought my skis instead of shopping and floating the river.

Looks like you had a good ski.
