Robie, I assume you checked the immediate location of the hat for further clues.  The boot impressions would clearly have identified the presence of the Spademark fitting, and thus be helpful toward returning the hat to its' rightful owner..

Is it an orange knit Heidelberg hat with the aluminum cans on the sides?

Nothing quite that garish. Someone refined with good taste was wearing this hat .

I guess that we have a difference in opinion on refined and good taste.

Wow.
That poor had would have eventually spent the rest of its life lost under the back seat of Robie's Explorer were it not for TAY.

Haha wow, that is amazing. My roommate knit that hat for me. Here is a picture from the day I lost it. I think sometime in February

Put a couple stitched beer cans on that thing and it is a work of art.
Glad this got returned to the rightful owner.
