Conditions yesterday were excellent.  Left the cloud cap campground parking lot around 7am... skied from top of snow dome starting around 11am... snow was perfect consistency on the way down.

video of final section here.

Where did you drive from, how long did it take?   Snow from the car, or how much walking involved?  Thanks.  Sounds as good as Sherman was two days before.

Left Portland around 5:15am... arrived at Cloud Cap around 7am.  Left campground soon after and walked
along the ridge on dirt and scree for about 45 minutes.  At the cairn, dropped down onto terminus of Elliot
glacier and took a somewhat climber's right route up the snowfield, passing the crevasse field on the right.

Hope that helps!

I liked the video of the crevasse-hop.
Think this tour will be worthwhile in another 10 days or so?

Yeah, should still be good up there... probably the best snowpack I have seen this late in the year on Snowdome in 10 years... must have been that overcast June we had...???
