Rode the lifts at Timberline until the snow softened, then skinned up to the saddle by Illumination Rock that overlooks the Reid Glacier.  Explored the Zigzag Glacier and SE slope below Illumination Rock.  Found the best conditions below about 9200'.  The snow seemed to be more consolidated (and faster and smoother) at the lower elevations.  Snow cover in this area is excellent and the snow surface is very smooth with almost no sun cups.  Some of the best corn turns of the season.

Due to the cooler temps on Sunday (compared to Saturday), the snow softened a bit later.  Best conditions weren't until 10am.  S and SSW aspects continued to be great all day, even after 2pm.
Doug,

Thanks for posting the great TR and photos of the coverage next to the Timberline lifts.  It re-enforces my belief that there is no need to walk on dirt to enjoy corn without sun cups.   ;)

Did you  tour on Snowdome yet ?

Haven't been to Snow Dome yet.  Hope to get there eventually...
