July 10, 2010, Mt. St. Helens via Monitor Ridge

Stalked CascadeClimbers to find permits, and skied St. Helens yesterday morning via Monitor Ridge. It was a super fun day. Snow was great! Nice corn with minimal suncups. 4.5 hours up, 1.5 down. We started at 3am and were back at the cars at 9:00am. About a 40 minute hike to snowline, and then you can skin on continuous snow the rest of the way up. Great little half day ski. If you're headed up there in the next few days it is totally worth bringing your sticks. We had a super fun time.
