Definitely not a worthwhile destination just for the skiing, but we were driving from Portland to Shasta and wanted something quick along the way. Would be super quick if bringing bikes (anything -- road, mtn, good, cheap, etc.), since the approach along the well-paved road is very long & flat. Either way though, the views are spectacular and make the trip well worth it. Snow is bumpy but soft enough that it skis okay.
