Ran up there on hope that the no fog zone visible on the Hyak and Price cameras also included Silver. Unfortunately Silver was pretty fogged in, with drippy trees if you got under them. Visibility anywhere from 50 feet to 500 or so. On the plus side, didn't really rain all that much til the very end of the day, and fog kept me and the snow from overheating.
If you park on the rougher spur that leads up the clearcut it is possible to ski from bumper = except that in the first 1/4 mile of skinning up the road there are short gaps at the Ditch and the second switchback. Also still possible (barely) to skin the transition between top of clearcut area and into the gentle slopes leading toward the basin. And the middle gully run down from the basin still goes with no moat issues and continuous snow thru forest etc to get back to clearcut.
Tried a run down the Annette side starting down from the saddle point on the ridge but the snowfield here was much too short (maybe if hadn't been so foggy, woulda seen that). Booted at an angle back up to the point I had started from about 10 days ago (couple hundred yards further down ridge). That was much better. Got pretty much the same length out of the run as last time, at least 1200 feet of vertical, nice and smooth, w only few spots where was nervous about punching thru to talus. Snow fairly soft on top in some spots (boot pen 8" or so) but mostly quite solid under.
Found a single heel lifter on the ridge, anybody missing one?

Another good but quiet day on Silver Peak. The visibility was very low today. The snow was really nice.
Skinning up we saw evidence of a recent slide and rockfall.
