Well, almost powder, better than Cascade concrete. There was about 3 or 4 inches of fairly nice snow, a few sun breaks, and ran into an old friend. The snow was a little unstable as the day warmed up, and several point realeases ran. Skiing on the fresh was nice, and the slide surface was not all that bad either. One lap from the top of Blue Lake basin, back at the road by noon or so, and the fresh was defiantly heavy at the lower elevations. Great photo ops with the clouds swirling around the spires.
