Four of us had a nice day at Washington Pass, modest number of parking spots at the Blue lake trail head, beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky.  Several parties ahead of us, and we all ended up at the pass into Copper creek at the same time. We booted up, seemed the most efficient, but people were making good time on skins as well.  Snow was heavy with all the sun, don€™t think it froze last night.  About 4 inches of unconsolidated snow which made the turning a little tricky. Plenty of wet snow slides, most were small,  but there were a few on the switchback side that were large enough to cause trouble.  Skiing on the switchback side was mainly in slide debris, but really not all that bad, looked worse than it skied.  Not the best skiing, but the great views, made it all worthwhile.
Wanting to do some touring from Hwy 20 6/21-22.  Curious to hear if snow at the Pass and "switchback" still extends to the car door? If so, for how much longer?
Thanks,
Ed
