There were a few climbing parties and a couple skiers out with us enjoying the Coleman.  You can certainly tell where all the rain has been as above 6k' its pretty good skiing and around 8k' its really good.  Below 6k' its super sloppy and we knocked off layers of slush descending Heliotrope ridge.  Above 9k' we chickened because the clouds were moving up quickly and we did not want a repeat of Saturday night's "I can't see how far to walk".  Pics link:  http://picasaweb.google.com/frederichb/Coleman#
If anyone found a camera on the Coleman it belongs to Georg from our ski group.

Hey ridngoofy,

You approached from Glacier Creek Road? Did you head up Grouse Creek route or stick to the trail? And where is the snowline? This weekend doesn't look so great but you never know!

ridngoofy: We saw you bootpacking the Roman Wall. We were the group of five skiers behind you.
You did not miss too much. The skiing on Roman Wall was not that great, bands of soft fresh and old frozen snow.

Stoked: we took the Grouse Creek route. Had to bushwhack the first 300 meters from the parking lot. The snow is melting fast, the approach might be gone for the season. See the pictures in the above slideshow for more info.

Thanks runningclouds. We were just up there yesterday and took the Heliotrope trail. I agree, Grouse Creek was melted out.
