Day 3's objective of Jonathan and Ben's PNW Volcano trip was the the SW Chutes of Mt Adams. Arriving Saturday night we were happy to find the road drivable all the way to Cold Springs CG. The next morning we started around 7am heading up the South Rib. On Suksdorf ridge (I just love the name) I was happy to not see the child-sized suncups that I saw last July as well as to not have AMS. We headed up to the false summit then to the true summit. Jonathan skinned while Ben and I booted. Standing on the true summit I noticed and introduced myself to Amar Andalkar who I recognized via his trademark red boots and red gaiters. Amar introduced me to Cyril whom he was skiing the White Salmon/Avalanche Glacier with. It was neat to meet Amar and Cyril. Another highlight was meeting the vice president of the
