Got decent weather around Colchuck Lake last weekend. The snow was gloppy but skied surprisingly well. Lots of wet slide activity propagating from the cliff bands. There is a pretty good snowpack up there for this time of year. Several other skiers ventured across the rapidly thawing Colchuck Lake but we decided to play it safe and take the long way around. Skied off the summit of of Dragontail in the fog on Sunday and made a quick run on the Colchuck Glacier on Monday. While there is fairly solid snow from the Stuart Lake/Colchuck Lake junction, skinning and skiing isn't really practicable until above Colchuck Lake.

Nice Altasnob.
Joe Bell and I braved Muir yesterday. Wet and windy until 9k. Nice turns top 2k then down into the murk again.

Yeah, nice work gents!

Chris
